José Álvarez is partner of Osuna González, a law firm based in Tijuana and Mexico City. He specializes in engineering and construction arbitration related to energy projects. He was a head of CFE (Mexican Federal Commission of Electricity) arbitration team, where he acquired vast experience in energy generation, fuel and construction of energy infrastructure. He earned a bachelor in Laws, and another in Economics (both from Technological University of Mexico). He has three master degrees in Public Administration (National Polythecnic Institute), Constitutional Law (Castilla La Mancha University), and a master in US Laws (Institute of Legal Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)). He was elected as a member of Instituto Mexicano del Arbitraje since 2016. He also is member of Mexican Bar Association and Club Español de Arbitraje.
