Christopher Boog is global Vice-Chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group of Schellenberg Wittmer. He spits his time between the firm’s Singapore and Zurich offices.
Christopher has extensive experience handling complex international arbitrations seated in common law and civil law jurisdictions worldwide. He has acted as counsel and arbitrator in over 60 international arbitrations, involving a wide array of matters under many different laws. His main areas of specialization include acting as lead counsel in high-stake disputes in commercial, investment and sports matters in the construction and engineering, energy (including oil & gas and renewables), pharmaceutical and life sciences, automotive and mining sectors.
Christopher is highly recognized for his arbitration and construction work in leading directories. He is ranked as one of the top 4 «Most Highly Regarded Individuals» in the world in Who’s Who Legal’s Future Leaders Arbitration ranking and has been regarded as one of a small number of global «thought leaders» in the field. Christopher regularly publishes and speaks on topics related to arbitration and teaches international arbitration at EBS Law School in Wiesbaden, Germany. He is a member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution, a Vice Chair of the IPBA International Construction Projects Committee, a member of the SIAC User’s Council, the YSIAC Committee, the ICC Task Force on Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings and the drafting committee for the revision of the DIS Arbitration Rules.
